Another Good Day

Just a short post tonight. Everyone is doing great!

Annaleigh is two weeks past her surgery and is as healthy as we could hope for. She's eating 15 ml of breast milk and now she's completely off any iv supplements. Her food is being fortified, just like her siblings, to give her some extra calories. I'm not sure she needs the extra calories though, because she's gained a ton of weight in the past two days. She's now up to 1100 grams, which is about 2 pounds 7 ounces. We got to hold her for quite a while today, and she's started sucking on a pacifier, which she just can't get enough of. All she needs to do now is continue putting on weight and she'll be off CPAP soon enough!

Lily is also growing, though she's been surpassed by her sister. She's up to 1075 grams, or 2 pounds 5 ounces. She did great while she was out of her isolette for a cuddle, and her breathing numbers are really good.

Charlie had a very good day, especially compared to the last few. Not nearly as many episodes today, though he didn't respond too well when I was holding him. Unfortunately, Brooke didn't get to hold him since he started acting up when her turn came. But he's eating a lot and resting comfortably, and right now the most important thing for him is to stabilize himself on the BiPAP so he can be weened off to CPAP like his sisters.

All good news today, which is always welcome. Just a couple more months like today and we'll be home free!

Lily Bug is great at looking exhausted.

Charlie is just like his daddy and can sleep pretty soundly through anything.

Hooray for babies! I just can't go to sleep at night until I check the blog to see how the little ones are doing! What a blessing, each and every day. Their good news makes anything difficult we are going through pale in comparison. Thank you for sharing these special angels, their doctors and nurses, and all with us. You and your family will continue to be in our prayers!

Glad to hear things are going well, and I love the sleepy/sleeping baby pictures. Being a baby is very tiring business, you know! And at this stage, eating plus sleeping equals baby growth. So keep up the good work, Babies, and Mom and Dad, be sure you are getting your rest also!
