My turn

So Joe has been singing my praises on this blog for the past week, and I thought it was only fair that I share with everyone just how awesome HE is, and how amazing he has been through this entire experience. For the past two months, I've been on bedrest or in the hospital and Joe has been in charge of everything and anything. He never once complained about being completely and totally responsible for the house, the yard, the laundry, the pets, the errands, etc. On top of that, he actually acted happy to wait on me hand and foot day in and day out, constantly jumping up to get me whatever I needed or wanted, be it a tissue or water or a hot fudge sundae from Carvel.

When I was in the hospital with C-Diff and after my water broke he spent just about every waking minute by my side, cheering me up and keeping me company. And when I went into labor...well I really can't even begin to describe how incredible he was. Though he was scared out of his mind just like I was, he never once showed it. During the c-section he sat by my head, calm and collected as ever, stroking my hair, kissing me, and whispering to me that our babies were strong and wonderful and everything was going to be fine. And I believed him. As soon as he could see each baby, he would dart over to them and then rush back to me with a report - "She's perfect!! She's absolutely perfect!!" He could not have said or done anything better than he did and I never would have made it through that night without him.

And now that the babies are here, he is the most amazing father ever. He loves our babies so much and it is awesome to see him with them. He knows what every single number on every single monitor means, he knows all the NICU terms and slang and he celebrates each and every tiny little milestone the babies make. He's also taken about 700 pictures of them in the 4 days they've been on the planet. He's not proud or anything.

So I just wanted to give a glimpse into how lucky I am in all of this. I may have been the one who had to go through the pregnancy and delivery, but I certainly didn't do it alone. And I look forward to each and every day in our new lives with Joe by my side. I love you.

I knew Joe was a good guy when he patiently explained to me how to work your gas grill, all while entertaining 4 pregnant women in his house. :)

You guys have to stop...the pregnancy hormones are making me even more emotional then usual. :) I always knew you guys would make great parents but you also make a great couple. You are both very lucky to have each other.

Your babies are so lucky to have 2 such amazing, wonderful parents. You are really the cutest, sweetest most amazing couple ever and your blog posts make me cry!

I used to baby sit for triplet girls. they were born at 27 weeks and now, 21 years later, are amazing, healthy, beautiful young women. I am saying prayers every night that your babies continue to grow stronger every day.

You guys are really doing a number on my eye sockets. Like I don't feel bad enough that I can't donate blood.

But as everyone has agreed - the two of you are amazing - and just look at what you produced. Those little loves will not only grow to have the physical strength and genetic longevity but they will also inherit your emotional strength. You guys are just great and I Love You Both - but can we stop with the tear jerkers. :)
Just kidding - these are good crys.
You did great - you're doing great and it's gonna be absolutely magnificent. Imagine - three little ones running around - I CAN'T WAIT.............
