However, now that you've had a tour you'll have a better idea what to expect. Our boys were in the NICU for Baby A (8 weeks), Baby B (6 weeks) and Baby C (7 weeks). We actually cried when we brought the last baby home and have gone back to visit numerous times. The nurses and doctors become like family. Your babies will be in good hands.E. The doctors also told me that I was making enough fuid so the Baby C was never less than 2.0 in fluid level. I got the steriod shots, and I was on every anti-contraction med and antibiotic they had including mag. Luckily it all worked, and I never dilated at all! However, I stayed in the hospital until I delivered due to HELLP Syndrome (completely unrelated to the PPROM)at 29 weeks, 4 days.

I know how scare it is, but you have to know that you are doing everything possible for your babies. Being the hospital, getting the steriod shots, taking the meds -- you are already a fantastic mommy!

One thing that I swear helped me from getting an infection is that I used Scott's wet wipes anytime I used the bedpan or restroom. I also did everything (eat, sleep, watch TV, etc) on my side.

There is a great website to help show you success stories from TONS of moms who had PPROMs: http://www.kanalen.org/prom/
It totally helped me.

Good luck -- and if you have any other questions, let me know!

Jessica (Moochie on TC)Got Triplets?https://www.blogger.com/profile/02113043976812613007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2194717345670669243.post-56432834107331121152009-06-20T13:15:15.996-04:002009-06-20T13:15:15.996-04:00Hi~

I just wanted to let you know that I completely ruptured with baby A when I was 22 weeks prenant. She was able to produce just enough fulid to survive, but never was able to get another good level in her sac. I was on strict bedrest in the hospital and didn't get up for ANYTHING for almost 4 weeks. At 25w5d I went back into labor and delivered my sweet babies. They weighed 1pound 13oz each. I now have happy, healthy 19month olds. It is a long, scary, hard road, but you can do it. If you want to talk more or see my blog, ect, find me on the private board (massarn). Best of luck to you, and you all are in my prayers.
~RachelRachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05090783072986168237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2194717345670669243.post-45004926266496510052009-06-20T12:30:49.342-04:002009-06-20T12:30:49.342-04:00Hi Brooke, I am praying for you, DH and your three...Hi Brooke, I am praying for you, DH and your three precious little babies. I had a cerclage at 19 weeks and my water broke on baby A at 24 weeks (twin pregnancy). I was able to stay in the hospital and not deliver until 28.5 weeks. It was very hard and my boys were just under 3lbs each. They are both home now and are happy, healthy and perfect. It is certainly not ideal to have preemies, but once they reach term and come home the experience fades and you will feel happiness and joy again, I promise. Hang in there.
